Rolls that rock.

Have we gone mad?

This week, the Pigdump home office received some shocking news: Don's Bakery is for sale.

Now that might not mean much to most of you, but to the Pigdump family, well, we can't imagine a summer without sticky buns, scones, butter tarts, chocolate chip cookies and lips. While these images may look like summer in Bala to some...

...Don's is the real Muskoka deal:

So what?

Well, we're thinking we might want to buy it. It's more than the secret Chelsea Bun recipe. It's more than getting up at 3 in the morning to fire up the ovens so the folks can dig into a fresh Muskoka blueberry pie. It's more than a license to print money. It's more than being down the road from the Kee to Bala for all those great Kim Mitchell concerts. We're not sure what it is, but it's so much more than all that.

Have we gone mad? Probably. I suppose we'll have to do some research, get a broker or something. We've got to move fast, though, because this opportunity is gonna get snapped up believe you me! It's Don's Bakery, for goodness sake, and when you've said that you've said a mouthful of tasty goodness. And cookbooks, we'll need lots of cookbooks. And those big white chef's hats. Stay tuned, eh?
