No sooner did I leave Hogtown and the bank and turn 47... I looked out the window this morning and saw this:

Mother Nature gave me a Great Blue Heron! But she didn't stop there. On this Victoria Day weekend, she also sent a couple of geese to honk a birthday tune for me:

And when I turned away from the geese for a second, I saw this little fella swimming past...a mink or an otter or something:

And you wonder why I was homesick to come back home. It's a wonder I ever left!
