Pigdump's media watcher, Agnes Gooch, has a few things to say
Is it just me or is there just too much Don Cherry these days? And I don't mean his right wing comments on that little hockey show he does either. In fact, I tend to think he's trying to get his fat ass fired.

Think about it: his little television show is sponsored by Labatt's, a Canadian beer company that brews weak-ass watery ditch-water. (Except that they also bottle the tasty Keith's that comes from the east coast, but it's not quite the "family brand" like Blue and 50.) Well the next thing you know, Cherry is on those silly "Bubbas" marketed by another Canadian beer company, Molson's. And the thing is, Molson's used to sponsor his little television show before their rival Labatt took over.

Not that I care about any of this, but doesn't someone think there's some shady beer conspiracy going on here?

And speaking of someone who is too much in our world these days... poor little Jessica Lynch from White Trash West Virginia has become an American war hero. UGH! And the spin! Puleeeeease!

You see, poor little Jessica joined the army so that she could get an education. Seems George Bush Sr.'s "trickle down wealth theory" just don't make its way to most of main street USA. So little Jessica, who wanted to rise out of the West Virginia perpetual trap couldn't afford to go to college on her own. Let Uncle Sam pay for it. Do we ever hear about that side of the story? Of course not!

So here's what's going to happen to Private Lynch: she'll come back to White Trash Virginia, she'll never finish her education because heck, she's going to be the media darling for her lifetime! She'll have a guest spot on American Idol, she'll be co-hosting with Regis before long, and she'll become the new Jeff Probst for "Survivor 10 - Iraq." And the US government will continue to ignore the distress of middle-to-low class America because they'll be busy spending money to put Iraq back together.

Umm, that's all.
