The leaves have hardly changed. I mean ususally by now there's at least early colour. All the seniors bus trips are ready to see the fall festival. No dice, gramps.Maybe it's because we had the hottest summer in a good long while.
That was of course after we had record snowfall on a daily basis last winter.
And I remember prior to that, the maple trees had tons and tons of keys on them.
Which seemed to be the tree reaction to the ice storm the winter before.
So?
Hell if I know what any of this means. All I know is that there ain't a man woman or child alive who can ever say to me again "You don't know what snow is, young whipper snapper. Back in my day blah blah blah... heat, you want heat? I remember the summer before you were born blah blah."
Nope. Never again. Cuz I DO remember the hottest, the coldest, the most snow, so just... just... like... let it go!
And it's the last day of summer.
