For one last time, we are asking you kind
and loyal Pigdump fans to send us an e-mail
if you have any information at all on the mysterious Quasi Detectives. Now we know that at the time of their
alleged existence (1977-79) a new angry young man burst onto the rock scene. His name, Elvis Costello.
Is it merely a coincidence that this bespectacled rocker played a concert in Burt's Bar in Ottawa while the
Quasi Detectives were playing in the Rotters Club just down the road... and the very next year, Mr. Costello wrote a
fine song called "Watching the Detectives?" You be the judge!
Anyway, here's the last photo which should jar your memories, a live concert in a park (we believe
it may be Parc Vincent Massey Park.) Thanks and good luck!
