Welcome to Pigdump!

... I forgot to laugh.
Where have those nutty weekend funnies gone?

Once upon a time, Pigdump started a little feature called The Weekend Funnies (though it's also known as the Clip Art Comics or the Clip-art Comics... we haven't done really well with the branding thing.)

We used to be quite diligent about getting up first thing on a Saturday morning and supplying you with a nutty, wacky, zany alternative to your weekly Ziggy and Garfield.

But then something happened. Production came to a standstill. And you haven't had your weekly blast for about... ummm... hmmm, August? Yikes! This void in your chuckle channel is a result of four things:

  • everyone's still a little upset about the "Arthur" troubles at Cinar
  • senior clip-art CD drive operator cut her thumb a while back
  • the staff was raided by Industrial Light and Magic
  • Florida voters
But make no mistake, Pigdump has not abandoned these fine funny pages. As a matter of fact, the new crack team we put together the other night when there wasn't anything on television (I just can't get used to Friday nights without Homicide) is planning a strategic, exciting return to your weekend plans. I'd like to say it will be this weekend, but I can't for sure. You can't force art, you know.

Thanks for your patience and good luck to us all.
