So how is young Chris Norton doing at the bigtime advertising agency? Here are her notes from the first week on the job:"Wow! I've never worked north of Bloor before, and lemme tell ya, it's a different world up here. I mean on one corner of the block there's a Starbucks, and right across the street a Tim Horton's! Can you imagine? What's more, the Tim Horton's gets more traffic! Who would have guessed that up here in the bigtime advertising ghetto! Must be something about that contest going on right now. A fellow down the hall from me won a buttered bagel! Is that cool or what? Not a plain bagel, a buttered bagel! Maybe it's that subtlety in advertising that makes the folks 'round here frequent the TH rather than the Starbucks.
Another cool thing about the neighbourhood is the pet store. I've worked in downtown Hogtown all my working life and there ain't one good pet food store anywhere! Well, now I don't have to wait for the weekend to go and get my pet supplies... I can head up the street from the agency any lunch hour and get the tasty top quality cat food that the boys adore.
