TROOPER
Beat out Prism by a ratio of 7:1.

They were the biggest band to perform in North Bay from 1979 - 1981 and knocked the "Gateway to the North" on its ear. Of course that was until Nazareth played "The Bay" at the peek of their popularity in 1995!

STAMPEDERS
A close one as the Stamps beat Lighthouse by a single vote! Here's what a Lighthouse supporter said:
Usually, I like to vote for the underdog, but the Stampeders just baffle me.
They're going to serenade a city woman with a BANJO? These are some deluded
yokels. You and your macaroons should stick with the country mornin' dew.
The city ain't no place to feel shiny and new.
Now, the stoned, half-undressed rock 'n rollers got my attention. I think it
helps, however, that those guys are shown only in silhouette. It leaves a
little to the imagination. And I have a feeling that with these guys, I'm
going to need a very creative imagination to enhance any attraction to these
half-baked hippies.

APRIL WINE
Another close one, squeaking past Chilliwack by one vote.
The Pigdump ethics committee suspects a rigorous write-in campaign led by a strong Kirkland Lake/Kenora contingency, but we were unable to prove it.

5 MAN ELECTRICAL BAND
Another no contest... beat out Triumph by a ratio of 8:1.
As one Pigdump visitor said:
... because we long-haired, no-shirt-wearin' sinners have got to stick
together if we're going to get out from under The Man's thumb.
