I did watch the Canadian English debate after all. And when I woke up to this view this morning...
...I wondered if any of the leaders would feel the way I do looking at this. I wondered if the stuff that matters to me is the stuff that matters to them.
Oh sure, they'll say what they have to say to whomever they are talking to at the time to get a vote, "Yes, Trish, this is a beautiful, and safe and free land, and we salute your brave choices of living a bucolic yet tough rural life...vote for me..."
There were people in the debate that I believed, yet they will never be Prime Minister. Collectively, the three of them - led by Ellie May, you have to admit! - would make a good leader. Kinda like our history where, "William and Mary was a good King."
Unfortunately, we're stuck with a split. Such smart thinkers and passionate people...divided by parties. And we'll be stuck with the man who would NEVER feel the way I do on a misty October morning.
Thanks and good luck.
