I have enough miles to take me somewhere in Canada. Or a few places in the USA. So the big question is, where will I go? I could go to Beautiful British Columbia to celebrate my friend's dad's 90th birthday with his relatives from Scotland who will bring lots of bottles of single malt whisky and put on a party so huge I might miss my flight back...
Or I could go east instead and visit my friend who lives near Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and not shop on Sunday. But who cares about that? The Nova Scotia tourism committee is enticing me lately with all sorts of ads about how I can go to one of the best undergrad universities in Canada by coming to Nova Scotia. Or I can "innovate" by getting a job in the Nova Scotia high tech community.
But best of all, I can recycle! Yes, these Nova Scotia tourism ads show me land fills. They show me paint being recycled in hazardous waste facilities. Oh yes, come to Nova Scotia and see the fabulous garbage plants! No really! My friend even sent me some pictures:
These guys mean business!
So what'll it be? Whisky and a party beyond compare? Or working (innovating), going to school and sorting my garbage...oh and not shopping on Sunday?
Uh-huh.
Thanks and good luck.
