When is this going to end, you ask. Well, today as a matter of fact. So now you're wondering, "Has she saved the best for last?" Heh heh. Just wait and see.

Because as the saying goes, all good things come to those who wait. Which made me think of an event that happened almost 10 whole years ago. Back when I used to work for the old guy's radio show, the old guy's assistant had an idea for a very special event. One of our colleagues had a birthday coming up - he was going to be 43, which seemed a lot older then than now. The old guy's assistant planned a party where 16 of his friends, all babes, would show up at his house in black cocktail dresses. Two of his male friends took him out for after-work drinks as we set up in his house. There were 16 babes in black dresses, an enormous lamb feast in the oven. And there was a margarita fountain.

His two friends brought him back to his house and promptly dressed the surprised birthday boy in a tux (the male friends then dressed themselves as French maids and ended up serving us dinner and drinks all night. But that's another story.) The dinner and drinks flowed, especially the drinks. The margarita fountain ran out of mix and we ended up with plain ordinary tequila shots, but that too is another story.

Anyway, back to Woody's Mexican Lime Vodka Cooler. And do you see where I'm going with this? Yes, I saved the best for last, as this beverage is the most refreshing, tart taste sensation of the bunch. It cools on a hot summer's day, even when then hot day is early October when the leaves are turning before my eyes. It tastes like real lime...it's just...well, it should be a tequila cooler, not a vodka cooler. When you think Mexican lime, you don't think vodka. Which is why Woody's didn't get the perfect score. The lamb dinner, however, did.
