I bet you've been thinking, "Oh that lucky Trish, up north during this hideous heat wave." Think again. This was the thermometer reading outside my window yesterday:

And that, of course, is without the humidity factored in.

And it was only 5 months ago that my thermometer looked like this:

Why oh why do we get such extremes? Have we caught Mother Nature during her menopause? That's what I'm thinking. It ain't Global Warming. It's just good old Gaia going through the change.
